PM approves gas schemes for govt MPs

Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved allotment of gas schemes to the government’s parliamentarians as the PTI government has started preparations for the next general elections, reported 24News HD TV channel on Sunday.
The preparations have been completed to award gas schemes to parliamentarians on political basis. Despite the shortage of gas in the country, a plan to install 1.3 million new gas connections has been made.
As per details, a target of granting 1,333,938 new gas connections has been set. 1.2 new gas connections will be granted in Punjab and KP during the next fiscal year while 33,938 new gas connections will be given in the provinces of Sindh and Balochistan. Other than domestic gas connections, a plan of granting 500 commercial and 190 industrial gas connections has also been made. During the current fiscal year, the target of granting new gas connection was 530,695.
