The Judicial Magistrate (East) on Monday ordered to provide a copy of the police file in the alleged Dua Zehra kidnapping case to the plaintiff's lawyer, 24News HD TV channel reported.

During the hearing, Mehdi Kazmi's lawyer Jibran Nasir took a stand and said: “We need a file and it is our right to take the file.”

The prosecutor argued that the file could not be delivered before the trial began.

The court, therefore, ordered that copies of the police file be provided to the plaintiff's lawyer.

Speaking to the media after the hearing, Jibran Nasir and Dua's father said: "After reviewing the file, we challenged the challan in C-class."

At the last hearing, the police had submitted the challan of the case in court in C-class. The judicial magistrate adjourns the hearing of the case till Thursday.
