People who are stranded in Gilgit on Sunday staged a protest in front of the Gilgit Baltistan Assembly due to the closure of the Gilgit-Skardu road, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Due to the closure of the road, the people of different districts have been disconnected from other parts of the state for four days.

The government is uninterested to reopen the road, the protestors said, adding that the high-up must look into the matter to provide the stranded people with relief.

The protestors demanded the GB government to reopen the road, otherwise, it should arrange C-130 aircraft to head the passengers to Skardu.
