Zeba Bakhtiar reveals reason for refusing 16 Bollywood films

Legendary Pakistani actress Zeba Bakhtiar appeared as a guest on Maliha Rehman’s podcast show where she talked about her life.

During the conversation, she revealed the reason for not getting married again.

She said that it was not because of Azaan Sami Khan that she did not get married. There was no sacrifice involved. She would have gotten married if she had found a decent human being but she did not and she therefore chose to live with her son and she is happy.

Further, she shed light on the scrutiny she faced after marrying Adnan Sami Khan. She said she did not think marriage to Adnan Sami Khan would fail as he was her friend. But her marriage was still scrutinized and she was asked invasive questions.

Similar was the case and everything was in the newspapers when she went through a divorce and custody battle for Azaan.

She has worked in both Pakistan and India with grace and her style and persona still makes her the superstar that she was when she started.

Her son Azaan Sami Khan is also a star and she herself is as relevant today as she was when she did 'Hena' in Bollywood.

She expressed gratitude to have worked in a Raj Kapoor film and the experience was nothing short of iconic.

She was offered 16 films after doing 'Hena' which she liked but turned down as they would have a scene or a song that she would not agree with.

She did not want to do a rain song in see-through saare and thus ended up turning down those films.

She also said that a Pakistani star starts getting more attention when they come back after working in Bollywood or any other industry. This has unfortunately been the practice since forever as Pakistanis love imported products. Thus they treat the artists in a similar manner.
