Armeena Khan takes Eid break from social media
Pakistan’s sweetheart Armeena Khan has decided to take a break from social media for Eidul Fitr.
Taking to Instagram, the Janaan actress wrote, “Dear Insta fam, I’m going to take a lil break (a little one) just till Eid.”
She extended love and peace to her over 1.8 million followers on photo-video sharing platform saying “Peace. Love you all.”
Earlier, Mahira Khan took a break from social media. The actress made the announcement in a tweet.
Mahira said: “Taking a break from social media, for a little bit. In times such as these (and otherwise) just remember – Sabr, Shukr and Tawakul.”
Armeena Khan recently suggested fans, seeking good Pakistani content, to watch spiritual-romantic drama serial Alif.
Taking to Twitter, the Sherdil star said, “You want to watch good Pakistani content? Watch “Alif” and encourage all that you think reflects your own culture.”
She added, “Responsibility lies on both sides (audience and content makers) supply and demand. Thank you, have a nice day.”
Responding to a fan about the airing of foreign dramas in Pakistan, Armeena said, “I think it’s great that foreign content is airing in Pakistan and I was one of the first ones to endorse it.”
She said, “It builds our industry up. I never said anything against the play. The rest is all a discussion on culture, treatment of actors and abuse.”
