Former national cricket team captain Shahid Khan Afridi also spoke in favour of the just cause of Palestinians and tweeted a poem in favour of the Palestinians, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

Afridi also tweeted pictures of him and his daughter holding Palestinian flags to show solidarity with the people of Palestine.

As per international media, at least 227 Palestinians, including 64 children, have been killed in 11 days.

In a latest, Israeli fighter jets continued to pound the Gaza Strip on Thursday, killing at least one Palestinian and wounding several more as Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu defied calls for de-escalation by US President Joe Biden.

Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi is also in New York to attend an emergency session of the United Nations on Palestine issue along with the foreign ministers of Turkey, Palestine and Tunisia to denounce in the strongest terms the atrocities occurring in Palestine.
