Sukkur road crash toll rises to 13

The death toll in the Sukkur road accident rose to 13 on Thursday. Over 30 people also sustained injuries when a passenger bus overturned on the National Highway late Wednesday night, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
All of the deceased were labourers and eight have been identified who all belonged to Multan while three dead bodies have been handed over to the heirs. Six people were in critical condition while seven others were also under treatment.
A Karachi-bound passenger bus from Multan overturned on the National Highway at Pano Aqil area due to overspeeding.
Rescuers had shifted the bodies and injured to the CMH Panu Aqil hospital.
It has been reported that all the dead were labourers and they were going back to Karachi for work after spending Eid holidays at their native areas.
Some passengers were also travelling on the roof of the bus when it crashed on National Highway after travelling from M-5 Motorway. Reportedly, the incident occurred due to the negligence of the driver who was overspeeding.
Police have launched further investigation into the accident.
