Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) DG Ahmed Shareef Chaudhry has said that neither the Pakistani nation bowed to its enemy before nor would it do so in the future, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

In a special interview with China Media Group (CGTN), he said that at a time when the whole world was confronted with climate change, rising population and other challenges, blaming any country for a terror attack without any proof and attacking it did not make any sense.

The DG further said that every Pakistani soldier had the desire to be martyred while defending the motherland.

The DG added that both Pakistan and China were responsible nations, as their first priority was the welfare of their people. “People’s prosperity always brings peace and stability,” he said, adding, “Both Pakistan and China want peace and stability in the region.”

That was why, he went on to say, both countries were fighting against terrorism. “Because the purpose of terrorism is to stall development.”

Chaudhry said that the whole world must see the progress China had made in a short span of time. “The people of Pakistan also want to progress and become prosperous,” he said, adding, “Pakistan’s first priority is peace. Today, if you notice, people in the streets of Pakistan are not celebrating the victory of their armed forces, but the return of peace.”

The DG said that Pakistanis were humble people. “You will see humility in them.”

“You will see how Pakistan progresses by leaps and bounds in times to come,” he concluded.
