Iran warns US of “more astonishing response” over any new aggression
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has issued a fresh warning to the United States, saying that any renewed aggression would be met with an “even more astonishing response", further escalating already heightened tensions between Tehran and Washington.
Speaking in remarks reported by Iranian media, Abbas Araghchi said that the US Congress had acknowledged the destruction of military assets worth billions of dollars during recent confrontations.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the Iranian foreign minister added that this included the loss of advanced fighter jets, which he described as a significant setback for American forces.
He further claimed that Iran had shot down a US F-35 fighter jet, stating that this marked the first time such an advanced aircraft had been downed in the conflict.
He also asserted that multiple US fighter jets worth billions of dollars had been destroyed during the clashes.
