Spin bike makes a round of Adiala Jail, but not delivered to Imran Khan

The spin bike, that was delivered outside Adiala Jail for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, was returned after the jail superintendent refused to provide him the bike without the written order from the court, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

It may be mentioned here that there was an argument between Imran Khan’s lawyer and the special judge on Wednesday during hearing of a case about provision of a spin bike to the PTI chairman.

The lawyer told the court that the PTI chairman wanted a cycle in the jail for doing an exercise.

The judge replied that he had already given instructions to the jail superintendent in this regard.

“If the court permits, I am ready to arrange an exercise cycle for my client,” Advocate Ranjha said.

The judge said he did not want the cycle to be misused. “I am afraid the superintendent might ride the cycle himself,” he added.

Former prime minister’s lawyer replied that if the court had doubts, it could appoint a person to ensure that the cycle was not misused. “We also have to take into account the jail’s manual. For us the prisoner’s security is important,” the judge remarked.

Imran Khan’s winter clothes delivered to jail

PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s winter clothes were delivered to Adiala Jail from home.

The staff reached Adiala Jail with five pairs of winter clothes, vests and slings

The staff reached Gate 5 of the jail to deliver the clothes to Imran Khan.

The jail officials, however, asked the staff to wait until permission by the jail authorities.
