Karachi police recovers kidnapped girl from brother’s room after two years

Karachi police Monday recovered an abducted woman from the possession of her brother in the Ranchor Line area of the city.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the accused Iqbal Ahmad allegedly kidnapped the victim named Shaheen, 36, and locked her up in a separate room in his house.

The local police registered the case against the accused on the complaint of the victim’s maternal uncle and raided the house of the accused Iqbal.

The police recovered the victim in a frail condition from a separate locked room and arrested the accused on the spot. The accused locked the girl up in the room for the last two years.

The police said that though the accused was providing some meal to the victim, adding that she had become like a skeleton and her weight had been dropped to 25 kilograms.

The police conducted a medical examination test of the victim and would take further action following the report of it.
