Sindh IGP orders inquiry against four ‘criminal’ DSPs

Sindh Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Ghulam Nabi Memon has ordered inquiry against four deputy superintendents of police (DSPs) for their involvement in different criminal activities, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

Sources said that Sindh IGP directed the inquiry after receiving credible information that Sohrab Goth DSP Aurangzeb Khattak, DSP Kalakot Asif Munawwar, DSP Kharadar Shabbir Ahmad, and DSP Eidgah Zaar Iqbal were involved in drug-selling, sale and purchase of gutka, land-grabbing, smuggling, and other criminal activities.

The IGP further directed to complete the inquiry against these DSPs by September 26, 2025, and submit the same till September 26, 2025.

Tanveer Ahmad Odho appointed as Inquiry Officer (IO) against the DSPs. DSP Aurangzeb is facing charges of facilitating the smuggling of Iranian diesel, land-grabbing, and smuggling.

DSP Kalakot Asif Munawwar is facing charges of providing shelter to drug-peddlers, supporting parking mafia, gutka mafia, and gambling dens.

DSP Kharadar Shabbir Ahmad is involved in receiving bribery from cart and tea sellers.
