30,391 vacant posts in Punjab Education Dept abolished 

Taking a big step to reduce burden on the national exchequer, the Punjab government has abolished 30, 391 vacant posts in the Education Department between BPS-1 to 16, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

The vacancies were in the School Education Department and subsidiary departments.

The step is expected to save the provincial government billions of rupees.

All district accounts officers have been informed of the government’s decision.

Besides that, a letter has also been issued to the accountant general, Punjab and treasury officer, Lahore.
