In a major blow to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) faction led by Dr Farooq Sattar, three key members of the group switched their loyalties and joined the Bahadurabad faction of the party. 

Those who have parted ways with the Farooq Sattar group are Kamran Akhtar, Azeem Farooqui and Zubair Ahmad. All these members of the MQM-Pakistan are former lawmakers of the Sindh Assembly. They also attended a function of the MQM-P in Karachi.
