The series of forcing feeders to be turned on daily from the grid station in Bannu could not stop as protesters forcibly switched on feeders from Bannu grid and Karamgarhi grid stations, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

According to the spokesperson of Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO), several protesters last night forced their way into grids and switched on feeders.

Spokesman Pesco said residents of various feeders entered the grid stations in procession, assaulted and threatened staff on the grids.

All the feeders switched on from the aforementioned feeders are high-loss feeders, spokesperson Pesco said.

Pesco has suffered a loss of Rs 14.4 million due to the forced switching on of high-loss feeders last night, spokesperson Pesco said.

The spokesperson said that the protesters also demanded to reduce the duration of load-shedding to 12 hours.

Pesco authorities are taking legal action against the protesters, said the PESCO spokesperson.
