A harrowing incident of triple murder has sent shockwaves as the bodies of a husband, wife, and their six-year-old child were discovered in a house near Ghagarphatak, on the outskirts of Karachi, on July 30.
According to Steel Town police, the victims were identified as Abdul Majeed, his wife Sakina, and their young son Abdul Nabi.
Police further said the murders appeared to be linked to honour-based motives, though the full circumstances were still under investigation.
Rescue officials stated that the victims had been dead for approximately 4–5 hours before the bodies were recovered. The brutal nature of the killings has raised alarm in the community.
Initial suspicions point toward relatives of the woman, with the victim’s friend alleging that the girl’s family may be involved in the attack. While a dispute between the two families had reportedly been settled some time ago, law enforcement is now probing whether the couple’s love marriage may have reignited old tensions.
