President, PM, CMs congratulate Under-19 cricket team on winning Asia Cup

President Asif Ali Zardari Sunday congratulated Pakistan Under-19 cricket team on winning Asia Cup.

In a statement, he said the brilliant victory in the final against India was a testament to the hard work, discipline and determination of the young players.

“The success of the Under-19 team is a source of pride and joy for the entire nation,” he added.

The President appreciated the collective performance of the captain, players and the cricket board.

“This victory of the young players is a ray of hope for the upcoming international competitions,” he remarked.

The President lauded the Pakistan Cricket Board for patronizing young talent.

“The efforts of Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi and the coaching staff are commendable,” he said adding, “Prayers and support of the nation are with the young players.”

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif also congratulated Pakistan cricket team and the entire nation on winning the Under-19 Asia Cup.

In a statement, he said Pakistani players performed excellently.

“Pakistani players created history by defeating India in the final,” he said adding, “The entire nation is proud of these young players.”

The Prime Minister said, “The Under-19 team will undoubtedly make the country’s name shine on the world stage in the future as well.”

“I pay tribute to the entire team management, including Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi,” he added.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif congratulated the team and said Sameer Minhas played an important role in the stunning victory by playing an excellent innings.

She said the Shaheens have made the entire nation happy by defeating the paper lions in a memorable manner.

“Pakistani players raised the green crescent flag by defeating India in the Under-19 Asia Cup final. This victory is the success of the entire Pakistan. Pakistan will remember this victory and India this defeat for a long time.” She added.

Punjab CM said the Under-19 national cricket team has won the hearts of the Pakistani people by performing brilliantly.

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti also congratulated Pakistani Shaheens on their brilliant victory over India in the U-19 Asia Cup final.

Bugti said the national U-19 team achieved a complete and clear advantage over India in both batting and bowling in the final.

He said the Shaheens demolished the Indian batting line and made the match one-sided.

“This brilliant victory is a testament to the high determination, discipline and professional skills of the young players. I congratulate the entire nation, players, coaching staff and Pakistan Cricket Board on this historic success,” added the Balochistan Chief Minister .
