Security forces in their endeavor to wipe out terrorism from the country have killed at least 142 militants, besides arresting 1,007 in 6,921 operations during the last three months, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

Security forces have so far conducted numerous operations to arrest the new wave of terrorism. 

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 1,960 operations were undertaken out of which 1,516 were area domination operations, 301 intelligence-based operations, and 143 were area sanitization operations. In these operations, 98 terrorists were killed and 540 apprehended. 

In Balochistan, 3,414 operations were conducted out of these 2,980 were area domination operations, 67 intelligence-based actions, and 367 were area sanitization operations. Forty terrorists were killed and 112 arrested in these operations.  

In Sindh, 752 intelligence-based operations were performed. At least three terrorists were killed and 344 were nabbed. 

Similarly, 165 intelligence-based operations were undertaken by security services in Punjab and one terrorist was killed while 11 were arrested.  

Security forces are busy trying to eliminate terrorism from the country.
