Gold price continue to increase again

Gold further regained lost ground Tuesday as bargain hunting trickled in after prices dropped some day earlier in response to the continued recovery of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar.

Data released by the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA) showed that the price of gold (24 karats) increased by Rs500 per tola and Rs429 per 10 grams to settle at Rs197,000 and Rs168,896, respectively.

The price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold was traded at the local market at Rs1,54,821.

Meanwhile, 24-karat pure silver prices in the domestic market also increased by Rs20 per tola to reach Rs 2,150 while the price of 10 grams of 22-karat silver increased by Rs 17.14 to reach Rs1,843.2.

In the international market, gold prices decreased by US$12 per ounce and was traded at US$1,832 per ounce.
