‘Jail Bahro’ movement to start tomorrow: Fawad

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senior Vice President Fawad Chaudhry Wednesday said the Jail Bahro movement will start from Lahore tomorrow (Wednesday).
Speaking to the media outside Zaman Park, the PTI leader said all arrangements have been completed for the Jail Bahro Tehreek and party workers and leaders will start presenting themselves for court arrest.
He said Shah Mahmood Qureshi announced that the movement will start tomorrow. “The situation is such that we have no option but to present ourselves for arrests,” he said.
Fawad said the entire PTI is ready is ready for the Jail Bahro movement, He said Imran Khan will announce the start of the election campaign.
He said the government has issued summons to Imran Khan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, and even Bushra Bibi to appear before NAB.
He said the resignation of the NAB Chairman has exposed that it was used for political purposes but the NAB Chairman didn’t toe the line.
He hailed the decision of the Lahore High Court (LHC) that the caretaker government is only allowed to conduct regular work and not formulate policy. He said the decision is in line with Supreme Court’s directions.
Speaking on the occasion, PTI leader Hammaz Azhar said the National Assembly passed the Finance Supplementary Bill, 2022, in violation as the quorum was not complete.
“Ishaq Dar has brought the nation to the extent that there are no funds for daily use,” he said, adding that the prices of essential items such as chicken and groceries have soared.
He said the government is worried that Imran Khan may return to power and their corruption cases will be revived. He said the incompetent PDM government had brought the worst economic crisis ever.
He said the country needs political stability which can only be achieved by holding elections. He said the ECP has maintained to hold elections within 90 days and should now conduct them accordingly.
