No relief in bills for consumers producing excessive electricity from solar, says govt 

Announcing a big decision against those producing electricity from solar energy in violation of an agreement, the federal government on Wednesday said that there would be no more relief in bills for those consumers of LESCO and other power distribution companies (Discos) who installed additional solar panels for the production of electricity, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Sources told the 24News TV channel that as per the load approved by the LESCO, consumers would get relief in exported units.

They informed that Discos would consider additional electricity produced equivalent to zero units.

LESCO will now record the MDI of green and bi-directional meters, which will enable it to gauge imported as well as exported units and help it identify those consumers producing additional electricity.
