Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) leaders Ch Parvez Elahi and his son Moonis Elahi met former prime minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain after the latter’s meeting with Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari.
Ex-president called on the former premier to ponder over the upcoming election for Leader of the House in Punjab and the situation in wake of the PTI victory in the Punjab by-election and PTI chief Imran Khan's demand for an early election.
He left the residence of Ch Shujaat after a brief meeting. Parvez Elahi and Moonis arrived to see Shujaat Hussain moments after the ex-president departed.
The PPP chief made a comeback and stayed with the PML-Q president for seven hours.
Asif Ali Zardari and Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain also met yesterday after a special sitting of bigwigs of government-allied parties.
The former president flashed a victory sign as he left the residence of the former premier after a one-hour meeting.
The coalition partners have been standing firm against PTI chief Imran Khan’s demand for snap polls.
Also, Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) leader Khalid Magsi met Chaudhry Shujaat and discuss the current political situation and the CM elections.

The authorities have augmented security in and outside the Punjab Assembly for the smooth holding of the election.
