Rates of construction material increased by 20percent

The increase in petrol prices and a weakening Pakistan rupee against US dollar has led to a 20% increase in the construction material, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Thursday.

The new rates of the construction materials with 20percent increase has been notified in in Punjab.

The official prices of cement, bricks, gravel and other construction material have been increased.

The price of first-class bricks has been increased from Rs12,500 to Rs14,000 in official rates.

The price of a bag of cement has been increased from Rs 720 to Rs1020.

The price of a bag of white cement has been increased from Rs1350 to Rs1550.

Punjab Finance Department has issued a formal notification of new rates of construction materials.
