Pakistan reports 30 deaths, 907 new coronavirus cases
As many as 30 more people succumbed to coronavirus and 907 new cases emerged during the last 24 hours, (Sunday) showed the data released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Monday morning.
According to the statistics released by NCOC, after the addition of 30 new deaths, the toll has now surged to 22,007 which represents a ratio of 2.3 percent.
The positivity ratio of the coronavirus cases in Pakistan has dropped to 2.6 percent, as 907 new coronavirus cases emerged in the last 24 hours after conducting 34,754 tests. It takes the total cases tally to 949,175 that returned positive after conducting 14,148,424 total tests so far.
The number of active cases in the country is 41,726 with 2,238 patients in critical condition.
There were 829 more recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours as the number of total recovered cases reached 893,148 with a 94.1% recovery rate.
Punjab, the most populous province of the country, has reported 95 new cases in the last 24 hours, taking the provincial tally to 345,065 with 9,655 active cases. In Punjab, 9 more patients died of coronavirus as the death toll reached 10,642. With 238 new recoveries, 324,768 patients have recovered from the virus in Punjab so far.
Sindh has recorded 595 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 332,254 with 19,615 active cases. With 14 new deaths related to the deadly disease, the death toll in Sindh reached 5,341. With 231 new recoveries, 307,298 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded 102 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 137,075 with 2,271 active cases. The province reported 7 new virus-related deaths as the death toll reached 4,269. With 190 new recoveries, 130,535 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
Balochistan has recorded another 48 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 26,633 with 753 active cases. The province reported no new death as the death toll remains 301. With 72 new recoveries, 25,579 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
Islamabad has recorded 24 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 82,368 with 1,130 active cases. With one new death reported in the Federal Capital, the death toll reaches 775. With 64 new recoveries, the number of recovered patients is 80,463 in the federal capital so far.
Azad Jammu and Kashmir
Azad Jammu and Kashmir has recorded 33 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 19,967 with 460 active cases. With no new deaths reported, the death toll remains 571. There were 31 new recoveries in the AJK as 18,936 patients have recovered so far from the virus.
Gilgit-Baltistan recorded 10 new cases during the last 24 hours, as the tally reached 5,813 with 136 active cases. No new death reported in the province as the death toll remains at 108. There were 3 new recoveries as the number of patients recovered from the deadly disease reaches 5,569.
