Another miscreant involved in May 9 violence held

The law-enforcement agencies (LEAs) have arrested yet another person who was involved in acts of violence on May 9, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

Condemning incidents of vandalism and arson on May 9, parents of Abdur Rehman, a resident of Abbottabad, have said they are ashamed at what their son had done.

They have said that the country’s prestige in the world was all due to its armed forces.

They have regretted that the PTI leadership had said that these people did not belong to the party, and were men of the country’s intelligence agencies.

They have also counselled the youth to remain careful and not fall prey to the anti-Pakistan Army rhetoric.

There was chaos in several cities of the country following the arrest of former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan in Islamabad on May 9.

People took to streets, vandalized and burnt military buildings and also damaged memorials of the martyrs that prompted the government to swiftly denounce these acts.

A crackdown was launched soon afterwards and so far hundreds of people have been taken into custody and put behind the bars.
