Azma lauds CM Maryam for eliminating mafias in govt departments

Information Minister Azma Bukhari said on Saturday that the Punjab Government has allocated over Rs 800 billion for education, health across the South Punjab sectors in the fiscal year budget, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel.

During the budget speech in the provincial assembly, Bukhari said that scholarships are being distributed on merit without political influence. 

She also shared that 9.2 million people have benefited from the “Clinic on Wheels” program over the past year, with new hospitals constructed under the current administration.

She praised Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for her efforts in eliminating mafia elements from government departments. “The CM is dedicated to serving all segments of society without discrimination. She added.”

She said PTI’s rivals for misusing the “South Punjab card” and listed ongoing regional projects such as Kachi Canal in Taunsa, shrimp farming in Muzaffargarh, Layyah’s first medical college, and the University of Health Sciences for the region.

Bukhari issued a warning to the opposition, stating that the government will not tolerate abusive behavior in the assembly. “If the opposition uses foul language, they will be responded to in the same tone,” she asserted.
