Blake Lively fires new subpoenas in escalating legal battle with Justin Baldoni

Actress Blake Lively has intensified her legal battle with It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni by issuing fresh subpoenas to key executives at his production company, Wayfarer.

According to newly obtained court documents, Lively, 37, has filed motions to compel the subpoenas she originally served in March. The subpoenas target eight Wayfarer executives: Ashmi Elizabeth Dang, Ahmed Musiol, Mitz Toskovic, Tera Hanks, AJ Marbory, Jennifer Benson, Shekinah Reese, and Jarriesse Blackmon. She is now asking the court to enforce their compliance.

This move comes amid an already bitter legal saga. In December, Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, 41, accusing him of sexual harassment and orchestrating a retaliatory smear campaign during the production of the romantic drama. The two reportedly clashed repeatedly while filming, turning their working relationship toxic.

The legal drama took another turn earlier this week when a New York judge denied Lively’s request to prevent her text messages with longtime friend Taylor Swift from being admitted as evidence. Baldoni’s legal team has subpoenaed all communications between Lively and Swift related to the film and the alleged events on set.

In a surprising twist, one of the filings claims Swift inadvertently attended a private meeting about the film’s script at Lively’s New York penthouse. Sources close to Swift say the singer was unaware of the nature of the gathering and felt “exploited” by her friend.

Adding to the drama, leaked messages reportedly show Lively jokingly referring to herself as Khaleesi and Swift as one of her “dragons” in reference to Game of Thrones,  a detail Baldoni’s attorneys argue reflects the influence Swift had in private conversations around the film.

Lively’s lawsuit alleges the fallout from her experiences on set damaged her career, citing missed opportunities, including hosting Saturday Night Live’s 50th season premiere. “The effects on Ms. Lively’s professional life were immediate and substantial,” the suit reads, noting that negative publicity forced her to cancel public appearances.

Baldoni responded in January with a $400 million countersuit, accusing both Lively and her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, of defamation. While the defamation claim was dismissed last week, the court allowed other allegations—including civil extortion and invasion of privacy—to proceed.

Both parties have denied wrongdoing, and the case continues to unfold with growing public interest as Hollywood and media insiders watch closely.

As tensions rise, the involvement of pop superstar Taylor Swift, who is godmother to Lively’s children, adds another layer of complexity to a case already steeped in personal betrayal and professional fallout.
