Katy-Bloom ties in free fall after space trip turmoil
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom’s long-standing relationship is reportedly on the verge of collapse following a series of personal and professional setbacks, most notably Perry’s controversial 11-minute space flight with Blue Origin in April.

The DailyMail quoted sources as saying that Bloom criticised the episode as ‘cringeworthy’ and ‘embarrassing,’ deeply upsetting the pop star.
“She hoped he’d be more supportive. Imagine going to space, actual space, and your partner isn’t impressed,” the source added.
Now, the couple is embroiled in a new dispute: who should attend the highly anticipated Bezos-Sánchez wedding in Venice on June 24.
Bloom, 48, is on the guest list, but Perry, 40, is not expected to attend, officially due to touring commitments in Australia. However, insiders claim the issue runs deeper.
“Katy feels those are her friends more than his,” the source said.
The rift is made worse by what Perry views as hypocrisy, Bloom mocking her spaceflight but willingly attending the wedding hosted by the couple who facilitated it.
“That’s hard for her to accept,” the source added. “They’re already spiralling.”
The turmoil comes as Perry navigates career difficulties. Her latest album ‘143’, released in September 2024, was panned by critics and fans alike, some even joking that it sounded AI-generated.
Meanwhile, her Lifetimes World Tour has faced sluggish ticket sales and harsh social media ridicule.
Adding to tensions, Perry recently shared personal photos and comments about Bloom, including topless shots and remarks about their sex life, despite a mutual understanding to keep such matters private.
