Allama Saqib Raza Mustafai backs lockdown proposal

Renowned religious scholar Allama Saqib Raza Mustafai has backed the suggestion of complete lockdown in the wake of coronavirus crisis.
In a statement on Saturday, Allama Saqib Raza Mustafai said it has been ordered to keep a distance of a spear from leprosy patient while in case of the spread of contagious disease or epidemic the religion has barred the people from exiting or entering the affected areas.
He said lockdown helps contain the spread of the disease.
The religious scholar said the religion of Islam emphasises on taking precautionary measures in diseases like coronavirus. He said washing the hands regularly will keep a person safe from the disease and similarly repeating ablution frequently also helps in keeping a person safe from coronavirus disease.
Maulana Fazlur Rahim of Lahore’s Jamia Ashrafia asked people to offer two Nawafil Salat-e-Toba.
