Loadshedding ahead as demand for electricity increases in Lahore

Demand for electricity has increased significantly in Lahore city with a rise in temperature, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to National Power Construction Corporation (NPCC), demand for electricity by Lesco has increased by 100MW to 3,600MW.
Currently, the NPCC is supplying 3,500MW electricity to Lesco.
It is to be noted here that more electricity is being consumed by the commercial and domestic users with the start of summer.
Demand for electricity is expected to reach 4,000MW in next few days.
If demand for electricity reaches 4,000MW, loadshedding will be started in areas with line losses.
The loadshedding will be carried out as per the schedule with the approval of the Ministry of Power Division.
