The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Monday announced changing the venue of its public gathering on March 27, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The ruling party changed the event venue from D-Chowk to Parade Ground and issued the notification.
The PTI is going to hold its show of strength on March 27 in wake of the joint opposition’s demonstrations in a bid to topple the PM Imran Khan-led government.
“The world will see how the people of Pakistan stand with their captain for their independence and sovereignty,” Planning Minister Asad Umar said as he made announcement of holding the event.
PM Imran has been saying the ruling party will show to its power to the opposition. According to Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry, there would be a million people in the rally.
The members of the ruling party during a PTI core committee meeting held with the premier in the chair reiterated resolve to continue standing by PM Imran.
