Interior minister orders crack down on electricity, gas pilferers

Mohsin Naqvi directs special FIA teams to accomplish the task: Also calls for against hundi and hawala transactions

Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi has tasked the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to crack down on electricity and gas pilferers and bring them to justice, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

On the directives of the interior minister, the FIA has formed special teams for launching the crackdown on electricity and gas thieves.
While chairing a key meeting held in Islamabad on Thursday, Mohsin Naqvi also directed for taking strict legal action against individuals engaged in electricity and gas theft.
During the meeting, the FIA officials submitted a detailed report about the Greece boat tragedy to the federal minister on which he said that all the elements involved in this disaster must be brought to justice.
The federal minister also directed that action should be taken against all elements involved in human trafficking so that this evil can be wiped out from the society.
Mohsin Naqvi also directed the FIA to take stricter action against the people involved in illegal business of hundi and hawala transactions.
In the meeting, progress on the pending promotions of FIA officials was also reviewed with the minister directing the disposal of all pending promotion cases within a fixed period of one month.
Secretary for Interior Affairs, Additional Director Generals and Directors of all regions also attended the meeting.
