Pakistani actress Sanam Saeed made a striking fashion statement during her Cannes Film Festival appearance by beautifully blending traditional South Asian heritage with modern high-fashion glamour.

“Muaaziz Saarif the Sherwani, a court dress, a fusion of the Persian chogha and Western cut tailored coats,” she wrote while reflecting on the historical roots and cultural pride attached to the iconic outfit.
