The Punjab government on Monday distributed compensation cheques among the injured in the Wazirabad shooting incident, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

 Areeb Shakeel 13 and Liaqat Mehar were given checks of Rs 2.5 million each. Former district Nazim Gujranwala Fayyaz Chatta handed over the checks on behalf of the Punjab Government.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the Tehreek-e-Insaf government is providing free treatment to the injured. 

Shakil, the father of the injured Areeb thanked the government for the provision of assistance. 

Liaquat Mehr thanking the government said that Tehreek-e-Insaf is the true representative of the people.  Punjab government and PTI is the voice of the poor and downtrodden, he added.  Reporter: Nayyar Aalam
