PPP-led AJK govt allots portfolios to newly-appointed 20 cabinet ministers

PPP-led AJK government has issued a notification for the formal allotment of portfolios to ministers. A total of 20 ministers have been assigned various key portfolios, reported 24News HD TV channel. 

Mian Abdul Waheed, has been given charge of Law, Justice and parliamentary affairs, Sardar Javed Ayub gets the Department of Forests, Wildlife, Fisheries and Development Authority, Chaudhry Qasim Majeed gets portfolio of Finance and Inland Revenue. 

Syed Bazal Ali Naqvi has been given the Public Health and Population Welfare Department, Dewan Ali Chughtai will be the in charge of Elementary and Secondary Education, Javed Iqbal Badhanvi has been allotted the Food Department and Sardar Zia Al Qamar has been given the Ministry of Communications and Public Works. 

Ch Arshad Hussain has been given the charge of Energy and Water Resources, Zafar Iqbal Malik has been allotted the Higher Education Department, Sardar Muhammad Hussain has been given the Ministry of Ushr, Zakat, Social Welfare and Women Development. 

Chaudhry Ali Shan Soni has been given the charge of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Irrigation, Dairy Development and Small Dams. 

Chaudhry Muhammad Akhlaq has been given the departments of Revenue, Stamps and Custodian, Aamir Yasin will lead Local Government and Rural Development. Chaudhry Yasir Sultan as minister for Physical Planning and Housing. Ch Muhammad Rashid has got the department of Power Development Organization. Rafiq Nayyar has been allotted the Religious Affairs and Endowments Department. Faheem Akhtar Rabbani gets the Ministry of Tourism and Archaeology. 

Ms. Nabila Ayub Khan has been given the charge of Kashmir Cause, Arts and Languages. Sardar Ahmed Sagheer Chughtai has been appointed as the Advisor on Sports, Youth and Culture. 

Sardar Fahad Yaqoob appointed as Advisor on Industries, Commerce, Labor while Senior Minister given charge of Law, Parliamentary Affairs and Power Development Organization. 

AJK cabinet has completed preparations to assume official responsibilities after the division of departments. The aim of the reorganization is to improve administrative efficiency and create harmony among departments, government spokesperson. The cabinet will soon announce policy priorities and development strategies. Public welfare projects will be taken forward at a fast pace, government spokesperson said.
