A female lawyer's licence turned out to be fake who has been appearing in the court as a member of the Rawalpindi Bar Association for the last eight years but with a different name, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

The woman's real name is Naeema Tanveer while she used a fake licence in the name of Saba Kanwal, the TV channel reported.

The fake female lawyer also appeared in more than 250 cases in the district courts before she was caught.

Upon hearing the shocking news, Secretary of District Bar Association Yasir Mehmood Catha lodged an FIR in Airport Police Station against the accused fake licence holder.

After this news, one is uncertain how many numbers of fake lawyers are working elsewhere in lower courts.
