Imran Khan lied to election commission, says Azam Tarar
States ECP’s decision comes not in haste: Mohsin Ranjha says it’s proved Imran Khan no longer Sadiq and Ameen: Atta Tarar says there are three types of Imran Khan’s theft
Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar said Friday that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) did not give the decision of Imran Khan’s disqualification in haste, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
While addressing a press conference in Islamabad, he said that the chief election commissioner had been appointed by Imran Khan.
“Imran Khan concealed many things from the election commission. He lied in the annual returns submitted to the election commission,” he added.
“He also lied during the hearing in the election commission. The misconduct of Imran Khan was bigger. Still, the decision against him was lenient,” he stated.
“The precious gifts of Toshakhana were bought at lower prices. But placing the details of the gifts before the nation was avoided,” he deplored.
The law minister also accused Imran Khan of attacking cities with mobs. “Imran Khan should face the law instead of launching attacks with mobs,” he advised.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha also addressed the press conference.
“Today, it has been proved that Imran Khan is not Sadiq and Ameen anymore. He played a drama in front of the Pakistani nation,” he castigated.
“We were attacked outside the ECP building. If you try to carry out attacks with mobs, you will be put behind bars,” he warned.
“Neither can they scare us, nor can they push us back with such means tactics. It is just the beginning as more cases will be filed,” he added.
PML-N leader Attaullah Tarar also addressed the press conference and said that there were three types of Imran Khan’s theft.
“He stole the Toshakhana gifts, sold them on higher prices and did not submit the money to the state treasury,” he abhorred.
