Four drug suppliers, including woman, sentenced to 38 years in prison by Rawalpindi courts

The courts in Rawalpindi have awarded a total of 38 years of imprisonment and fines amounting to Rs 550,000 to four convicted drug suppliers, including a woman, in separate narcotics cases, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Tuesday.

According to police officials, Musarrat Bibi, a female drug supplier, was sentenced to nine years in prison along with a fine of Rs 200,000 after 1.8 kilograms of hashish was recovered from her possession. The case against her was registered at the Pirwadhai Police Station.

In another case, Farhan Khan was sentenced to 11 years in prison and fined Rs 150,000 after 2 kilograms of hashish were seized from him. His case was registered at the Dhamial Police Station.

Similarly, Muhammad Waqas was handed nine years in prison and a Rs 100,000 fine after being found in possession of 1.52 kilograms of hashish. The case was lodged at the Saddar Barooni Police Station.

Meanwhile, Gul Niaz was also sentenced to nine years in prison and fined Rs 100,000 after 1.65 kilograms of opium were recovered from him. His case was registered at the Taxila Police Station.

The sentences were announced by Additional Sessions Judge Rawalpindi Masood Ahmed Qureshi, Additional Sessions Judge Taxila Zafar Nawaz Malik, and Special Judge Narcotics Rawalpindi Farhat Jabeen Rana.
