A woman passenger, who came to Pakistan via Pakistan International Airline’s PK-262 flight from Dubai, was robbed by dicots in the Level-1 parking of New Islamabad International Airport, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday. 

The woman passenger claimed that dacoits snatched her bag with valuables including Rs0.5m, 800 dirham, two gold earrings and one gold locket.

Islamabad Airport officials say a hunt for robbers has been launched and soon they will arrest the culprits.

Separately, the Airport Security Force (ASF) in an operation at Allama Iqbal International Airport foiled a drug smuggling attempt abroad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

A passenger named Iqbal wanted to smuggle heroin, salt and cigarettes from a private flight but to no avail, ASF seized 100 kg and 10 grams of ice from the passenger.

1.290 kg of Brian powered heroin was recovered.

Now the accused passenger has been handed over to Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Police for legal action, the TV channel reported.
