Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar met on Wednesday Malik Nauman Ahmad Langrial and Sardar Asif Nakai and held deliberations upon the ongoing political situation.
Langrial is an active figure among the group of lawmakers supporting Jahangir Tarin. The insiders said the Tareen supporters started deliberations upon staying away from the budget session and expressed resolve to give tough time to the government.
The number of Tareen’s supporters has surged to 70. The sources said during the meeting the group’s reservations were taken up with the chief minister who vowed to address their concerns. Tareen will be showing its strength in a few days. Speaking on the occasion, CM Usman Buzdar said some opposition parties are just busy scoring points.
The opposition parties have been doing negative politics to cash in on the situation, he said stressing they have nothing to do with public service as they joined politics to serve their own interests. Working against the interest of the country is no patriotism, he said adding that PM Imran Khan has always given preference to the national interest.
