The Lahore Board of Intermediate has released date sheet for the 2022 Annual Matriculation Examination which is going to start from May 10, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the date sheet released by the Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education on Friday, the first paper of Matriculation Exam will be taken on May 10.

In the first four days, four papers including Arabic, Civics and Business Studies will be taken. 

The last exam of Pakistan Studies will be taken on May 25.

However, the exams for Class Ninth will be started from May 26. The exams will continue till June 10, 2022. 

The Practical Exams will be commenced from June 21 and will be continued till July 18.

Punjab schools’ funds diverted to other projects

The Punjab government has reportedly diverted Rs140 million funds allocated for providing facilities to children at public schools to other development projects, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

It is learnt that the plan to provide facilities to the children in public schools has fallen through as only 12 per cent of the allocated funds have been utilised so far.

“During the tenure of the previous regime, only 12 per cent of the allocated budget was spent on providing facilities to the schoolchildren. These funds were allocated in June 2021,” said the informed sources.

“Now, the government will spend the remaining 88 per cent of the funds elsewhere,” they confirmed, adding the release of funds would require approval of new projects.
