Professor Dr Shazia Bashir has been appointed as acting vice-chancellor of Government College University of Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

A notification in this regard was issued on Monday after getting approval from Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

Three professors were interviewed for the post of acting vice-chancellor of GC University. They included Dr Sultan Shah, Dr Shazia Bashir and Dr Babar Aziz.
