FIA thwarts attempt to travel abroad on fake documents from Lahore

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) thwarted an attempt and arrested the accused who was trying to board a Malaysia-bound flight through forged and fake documents at Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIA), Lahore, reported 24News HD TV Channel on Wednesday.

A spokesman of the Federal Investigation Agency said that the arrested passenger was later identified as Adnan, who was trying to travel through flight No. UL-14 to Malaysia.

During the initial investigation, many forged and fake entry and exit stamps were recovered on his passport.

Later, the accused admitted that he gave 5000 Rangit to an agent for fake stamps on his passport.

The director of the Federal Investigation Agency said that the crackdown is still underway against criminals.

Six Vietnamese nationals barred from entering Lahore

In another operational, the Federal Investigation officials deputed at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, barred six Vietnamese nationals who were trying to enter in

Lahore.

FIA officials said that booking slips of hotels were found forged and fake in Lahore.

Sources said that during the scheming operation, the mobile phones of all the passengers were checked. The passengers deleted messages of phone chats.

During checking, only one passenger who was a resident of Cambodia was found realistic. FIA's timely action forced these illegal persons to enter Pakistan, the spokesman concluded.
