Punjab students get six chances to appear in exams

The Punjab government has increased the number of chances for students to appear in exams from four to six, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

Now the matriculation, intermediate, O level and A level students will be able to sit in exams six times in four years.

The decision will apply to all boards and groups.

On the other hand, it has been revealed that 43,000 less boys and girls have been enrolled in the Punjab government schools than the target set for the purpose.

It has come to light that during the last 16 days, over 18,000 less students were enrolled.

On average, every day, over 12,000 children are not enrolled in schools.

The target is to enroll 693,000 children. However, presently, the enrollment stands at 566,000.

The situation has enraged the Education Authority, Lahore.

CEO Education Lahore Tariq Mehmood has sought an explanation from the concerned officials.

He has ordered that not only the enrollment campaign be started immediately, but it should also be monitored.

He has made it clear that if the targets are not, the concerned officials will be responsible.
