Dar reviews prices, supplies of essential goods in market
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar on Friday reiterated the government's commitment to ensuring stability of prices, maintaining adequate supplies of essential goods in the market and protecting the interests of consumers across the country.
Chairing a meeting in Islamabad on availability and prices of essential commodities in the country, Dar reviewed the current market availability, assessed stock positions and examined recent trends in commodity prices.
The federal minister for food security, special assistant to prime minister and secretaries of the federal ministry for food security, trade and industries and production attended the meeting. The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) chairman and senior officials of the relevant federal and provincial ministries were also present.
