Education boards in Punjab have made it mandatory for the students to get themselves vaccinated against coronavirus if they want to sit in board examinations, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

The unvaccinated students will not be allowed to appear in the examinations for ninth, tenth and intermediate classes.

The students will have to produce vaccination certifications otherwise they will not be allowed to even enter the examination centres.

The education boards said it is a must for every student to bring his or her vaccination certificate along for sitting in the examinations.

The education boards have issued directives to the schools and colleges in this regard.

The matric and intermediate examinations are due to be held in May-June 2022.
