Qalandars crush Gladiators by nine wickets in PSL 6 encounter

Lahore Qalandars beat Quetta Gladiators by nine wickets in the fourth match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2021 at National Stadium Karachi.
Qalandars’ opener Fakhar Zaman and Muhammad Hafeez punished the Gladiators’ bowlers all around the ground. Qalandars achieved 179-run target with 10 balls to spare. Zaman made 82 runs of 52 balls. He hit eight fours and two sixes. Hafeez played one of his best innings of the tournament and made 73 runs of 33 balls including 6 sixes and five fours. Both the players made opponent bowlers helpless.
Lahore Qalandars won the toss and opted to bowl first. Quetta Gladiators’s Chris Gayle remained the top scorer with 68 runs on 40 balls. He hit five sixes and 5 fours. Captain Sarfaraz Ahmed made 40 runs. All-rounder Muhammad Nawaz played a very important innings of 33 not out. Qalandars’ Haris Rauf took three wickets and conceded 38runs. Rashid Khan, Shaheen Afridi took one wicket each.
The Gladiators were also brushed aside in their opening match of the tournament by Karachi Kings. However, the Qalandars were victorious in their opening match against Peshawar Zalmi.
