Dr Aneela Atta Ur Rahman, former vice-chancellor of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University in Larkana, Tuesday approached Sindh High Court (SHC) against her removal from the post, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Dr Aneela Atta Ur Rahman pleaded to the SHC to set aside the notification of the appointment of interim VC Dr Hakim Ali Abro.

Dr Aneela claimed that she was forced to go on a leave but when she refused, the varsity got a new interim VC.

The complainant pleaded that the court may cancel order for her removal from the VC slot and suspend the appointment of Dr Abro.

The petitioner made Prof Dr Hakim Abro, secretary of university board, and Sindh chief secretary parties to the case.

She previously served at Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS), Faculty of Community Health Sciences and holds MBBS, MPH and PhD.
