Nicole Kidman has dramatically left the United States for an icy escape, embarking on a lavish girls’ getaway to Antarctica just as speculation intensifies that her ex-husband Keith Urban has moved in with a much younger new partner. The timing has fueled intrigue, with the Oscar-winning actress surfacing online thousands of miles away while headlines swirl around Urban’s personal life.
The 58-year-old Australian star shared a series of photographs on Instagram on Thursday, chronicling the snow-covered expedition she took with close family and friends.
Central to the trip was her sister, journalist Antonia Kidman, 55, who appeared alongside Nicole in a striking image of the siblings smiling and holding each other against a backdrop of towering, snow-draped mountains.
Other images showed Nicole aboard the expedition vessel, effortlessly stylish despite the extreme climate.
She wore a white puffer jacket paired with sleek black leggings, white sneakers, black sunglasses, and a black knitted peaked beanie. In another photograph, she posed with an unidentified woman affectionately described as “my bestie.”
The actress also highlighted the natural grandeur of the trip, sharing artistic shots of penguins and a dramatic kayaking viewpoint. Nicole’s polar retreat follows reports earlier this week alleging that her former husband, country music star Keith Urban, has moved in with his rumored new girlfriend, singer Karley Scott Collins.
Urban, 58, is reportedly 32 years older than Collins, who joined him as an opening act on his 2025 High and Alive World Tour and collaborated with him on their 2024 duet Write One.
Collins swiftly rejected the claims, publicly dismissing them on social media. Sharing a screenshot of one such report, she wrote, "Y'all, this is absolutely RIDICULOUS and untrue."
Despite the denial, recent posts have kept speculation alive. As recently as January 3, Collins shared a photo of herself embracing Urban onstage while thanking “all the incredible artists who took the boys and I on the road with you.”
She also marked Urban’s birthday on October 26 with a post praising his kindness and writing that she felt “so lucky to call you a friend.” Urban was also the one who personally informed Collins that she would make her official Grand Ole Opry debut in 2024.
Earlier this month, Urban gave his first interview since finalizing his divorce from Kidman on January 6, ending their 19-year marriage. Speaking on Dann Huff’s podcast, the singer reflected on his current mindset.
"I'm in a different part of the journey," he said.
"So there's a lot of poetry in my input right now. Lots. Yeah, poetry would be in my music right now. Not rhyming poetry, but more philosophical poetry that's really profound to me."
Nicole and Keith reached a settlement agreement in January, just three months after the actress initiated divorce proceedings, closing the chapter on one of Hollywood’s most enduring high-profile marriages as both stars visibly step into sharply different next acts.
