PM, Field Marshal hold string of meetings with world leaders at Davos

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir engaged in cordial and informal interaction with several world leaders, on the sidelines of the 56th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Both the prime minister and the field marshal are in Switzerland for the annual international event, which has brought together world leaders and heads of major international organizations.

During the Forum, the prime minister and the field marshal engaged in warm and informal exchanges with prominent figures, including President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.

PM Shehbaz and Field Marshal Asim Munir also attended the special address delivered by US President Donald Trump at the Forum.

The informal meetings of the prime minister and the field marshal with the leaders participating in the Forum were full of smiles and warmth.

Dar, Thai FM for boosting cooperation

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a meeting with Foreign Minister of Thailand Sihasak Phuangketkeow on the sidelines of the 56th annual meetings of World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

The two ministers reviewed Pakistan-Thailand bilateral relations, and reaffirmed their commitment to expand cooperation across diverse domains, including economic, trade, investment and agriculture, a press release issued by the Foreign Office Spokesperson said on Thursday.

During the meeting, they also discussed regional and international developments. Both sides also congratulated each other over 75 years of establishment of diplomatic relations.
